Ladybirds and Fairy Tales

Once upon a time this half term our topic has been Fairy Tales. We have started with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Ladybird class have been excited to use oats in their learning in messy play as well as finding  out who has been in our oats over night by measuring the bear prints. We have been measuring in centimetres or using objects such as cubes to compare shortest to longest.

We have had fun using 'or' objects in our learning for example using a fork to pick up the corn to develop fine motor skills.

Ladybird class have also been retelling the story using masks and puppets. We will follow on from this by changing the story to make it our own, thinking of our own ideas!  Then we shall all live happily ever after ...
