Life through a lens: Kingfishers go under the microscope.
This week, a team of scientists from Gurdon Institute provided an inspiring workshop for the KS2 Kingfishers. The children donned their lab coats and used powerful microscopes to make observations of various living and non-living items. They then used the microscopes to look at various cells from the human body including liver, blood and skin cells. Finally, they took samples of their own cheek cells to examine under the microscope. A great experience for all!
