Kingfishers light up the Stone Age
Kingfishers have been writing super stories set in the past based on The Stone Age Boy. We have looked at Neolithic art found across Britain and reproduced cave paintings of our own on stone tiles. The children have learned to carve their own stone-age tools using traditional techniques. We made stone axes using soap and sticks found locally. Currently we are learning how to weave and are making baskets made from recycled newspaper.
In our Science topic of Light, the children have been modelling how we see objects and investigating how light travels in straight lines.
