Local Governing Body

The Governing Body

The opening of a new school is always an exciting time, but here at the Bridge Academy it has been doubly so because we offer our pupils the opportunity to learn and grow within a new purpose built centre, with every latest facility, but at the same time with the support and encouragement of a tried and tested sister school with a first class reputation (Godmanchester Community Academy).

We provide education of the highest possible standard closely linked to your own child’s learning needs.

From the very beginning we have built a school in which all members of our community are able to develop a sense of self-worth, responsibility and fun, fulfilling their potential within a caring school environment. It is a place where learners and staff feel that their views are taken seriously; they work collaboratively, co-operatively and support each other.

Having previously been based at Godmanchester Community Academy, whilst the school building was being built, we moved in September 2017 to our purpose built facility . The two schools will continue to maintain separate identities but will keep a close and flexible relationship together to ensure the best possible start for your child.

Communication with you, the parents, is vital and you can be assured that the Headteacher, the Staff, and the Governors, will always be pleased to talk over any concerns you may have. Please do not hesitate to ask.
