The rapid acquisition of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills underpins the learning of literacy at the Academy. This ensures the children quickly meet the age related expectations of the National Curriculum for literacy at the earliest opportunity.
Early acquisition of the key numeracy skills is the target for every child entering the Academy, enabling them to progress quickly to become independent and robust problem solvers. They are then guided and encouraged in developing the capacity to apply mathematical reasoning so that they reach Year 6 as able and confident mathematicians.
All the National Curriculum Foundation subjects are taught through exciting and exploratory learning.
